From quizzes to marathons, there are many ways you can support the work of Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Below are some ideas but please do let us know your own tried and tested ways!
- Hold an event at home; in the community or in school, for example cake sales, non-uniform days or quizzes
- Do a sponsored event or challenge, for example a bike ride or sponsored silence or car wash
- Football tournament, face painting
- Recycle your used mobile phone or print cartridge
- Ask for a free pin-badge collection kit
- Have one of our money boxes to fill
Below are just a few of our fab fundraisers. Keep up the great work!

Charlotte Chalkley Congratulations and a big Redwings’ thank you to Charlotte Chalkley who is the Redwings Star Fundraiser for 2011! Well done Charlotte! Talented Charlotte raised £158.75 for Redwings by selling hand painted re-usable bags, crochet dishcloths and hair bands and pincushions (all of which look very stylish indeed) at a small local event in Japan! Charlotte even made her own posters to explain all about Redwings and some of our most recent rescues. Thank you so much Charlotte for spreading the word of Redwings across the globe!!! |
Niamh and Tilly Niamh and Tilly raised a massive £77 for Redwings by selling hand-made cards, bookmarks, jewellery and key rings. They also sold books and children’s socks too (but I am told, a cat spent the day sleeping in the box of socks and so they all had to be washed again!) Well done girls for raising money for Redwings and for providing a nice soft bed for the cat! |
Rhianna and Sophie A giant thank you goes to ‘horse mad’ Rhianna and Sophie who organised a sponsored walk and managed to raise a massive £140.00!!! Thank you to you both for helping our 1,200 horses, ponies, donkeys and mules who all agree that you definitely deserve to put your feet up for the day! Well done girls :) |

Lily Mason Thank you so much to Lily Mason who rode her brilliant pony Shammy for 14 miles to raise money for Redwings! The dynamic duo raised £109.00 for our horses, ponies, donkeys and mules. A big thank you goes to Lily and Shammy too of course! |
Catherine Sweetapple A Big thank you goes Catherine Sweetapple who raised a fab £30.00 by having a bake sale in aid of Redwings (the cakes look delicious). Catherine also helped to spread the word of Redwings too by handing out Redwings leaflets. Thank you so much Catherine :) |
Melissa, Emily and Hannah Melissa Cadogan, Emily Cadogan and Hannah Luke raised a brilliant £205.50 by completing a sponsored nine mile walk! Thank you so much for raising money for Redwings! Hopefully your feet weren’t too sore afterwards! |
